Smitty’s Furniture has a long-standing tradition of delivering high-quality, Canadian-made furniture, a legacy that began in Hanover in 1949. In 1985, we expanded into the Waterloo Region with a showroom in Cambridge, and in 2014, we relocated to 170 Gateway Park Drive, Kitchener , to better serve our customers. Kitchener was a natural choice, given its rich history in the Canadian furniture industry and vibrant community. This location embodies Smitty’s commitment to Canadian craftsmanship, offering top-quality, customizable furniture alongside other major retailers, making it a convenient and trusted destination for furniture shoppers.

Smitty’s Furniture has a rich history in Barrie, having operated a showroom there from 1991 to 2008. After stepping away due to industry challenges at the time, we always hoped to return. Now, after years of planning, we’re proud to be back, opening our new location on Bryne Drive in 2024. The response from the Barrie community has been overwhelmingly positive, with many former customers sharing fond memories of their experiences with us.

The Unloading Dock is a unique feature of our Hanover location. The Unloading Dock is a clearance centre location offering exclusive discounts on showroom samples, floor models, cancelled special orders and clearance items.
